Default New used motor, reset ECU?

Hi All, just installed a motor with about 1000 total miles on it. Tried starting it today and while it turns over fine, nothing happens. I purchased a scanner and if I am using it correctly, it passed with no codes. Do you have to reset the ECU with another motor installed? I am not sure where to go from here.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you getting spark and fuel? Maybe a harness is unplugged?

No, you don't need to reset the ECU. But if you think about it, having the battery disconnected while you are instsalling the motor does reset the ECU.

So you have driven the car 1000 miles and now you have issues starting the car? The questions are....

Do you have gas?
Do you have spark?

I take it you haven't got the car started since the install?

Was it a complete motor, or just a lower end with no cyl head?

Are you sure EVERYTHING is plugged in? Sometimes on most Hondas forgetting one simple plug will keep the car from starting.

Things to check:
Spark
Fuel
Compression

It's not an immobilizer thing is it? I don't know how that works, or if it would even crank.

EDIT: Nevermind I think there's a little light on the dash for that.

This is a complete motor out of another car. came with harness and most everything else. I can hear the fuel pump running but I need to crack a line further up the chain to see if there is gas. I am working on it again today.
thanks

This happened when I installed the Spoon ECU on my car. Check the light on the dash for the key, you'll have to search for it, but I believe it flashes. If it doesn't flash, it's the immoblizer. Again, I'm just thinking of options/ideas of what it might be. Opak here in the Bay Area did something to get it to start, but you might have to go to the dealer to get this done.

If you don't install the ground wire on the back of the head, you get the same results. You might want to cheak that wire.

Update, I have gas up to the fuel rail so i think that is ok. ALL the ground straps are on, at least 3 of them including the one on the back of the head. What is this " immobilizer " thing?
Thanks for the replies, hope I can get somewhere today or i may have to tow in in.
