3M™ Super Strength Molding Tape should work. I'm guessing it's a common auto parts item.

I thought there were tape pieces with the roof but, perhaps, my installer provided them.

Today, I got as far as this, still need to install interior pieces in.. However it wont close, its uber tight!

Maybe I got the inside flap put on wrong. Can someone tell me if I got that flap mounted on the bar and the velcro flap put on correctly.?

No Velcro visible inside my roof but the roof is latched shut -- tight to latch at first.

My Robbins top closed to the exact same place as yours did. I was working by myself in an unheated garage in Virginia during February, so I used two ratchet straps and ran them from the front bow , down to the door hinges (doors open). I put some tension on each side and it pulled the top forward and down just enough to close the latches. Left it closed for about 3 weeks until a nice warm day came around to open it back up again. 5 months later, it opens and closes smooth as can be, it will stretch over time.

Good luck, make sure it is watertight before putting the interior back in!

Okay I read somewhere and found that you put the velcro pieces together and then you place that in the keepers of the 3rd bar. Doing this looks good now. This was in the Robbins instruction which I never got. Having the instructions would have been nice. IMHO, I think Robbins and their vendors don't want you to install this yourself, so they do not include the instructions. I understand that most may not be able to do this kind of work, I do the majority of the work on my S2000 because I like working on it, ask me to work on my other cars? No way!

I am going to put the car in the sun tomorrow and hopefully it closes.

Gcole, thanks I was tuggin the main support beam just so the hook wood at least grab, at least it is kinda locked now. It will be getting hotter here in Socal soon enough.

BTW it took me all day but I was able to do some sound deadening using Second Skin Spectrum. I put 3 coats and when I knock on spare tire platform it sounds much deeper, Hopefully it helps. I also applied Second Skin to the three rear tray piece.

Got the top to closed and she is beautiful once more. The entire top replacement process took me 12 hours taking my time from start to finish.

Also the Second Skin Spectrum works great! I now hear mostly of noise coming from the transmission channel and firewall area instead of behind me.

My installer recommended leaving the roof up for several day to let all the stresses work themselves out.

I am 53 years old and I am sore from doing it. I took my time, did not rush anything it was just so many things you have to remove and put back. The rear side trays was a bear to put back, almost wanted to pull the roll hoops out, but I kept trying and got them back in. You can remove the roll hoops to access things a lot easier but it really is more time consuming you have to be patient and persistent. Difficulty level, probably 5/10 compare to an engine replacement that is 10/10 in my book. I changed out my differential and that was about the same level 5/10 but done in a shorter amount of time 4 hours. The DIYs on this forum really help me a great deal but there was a some steps missing, so remember the many many steps you made removing the top so you can reverse that when putting the new top back on.

Either way, you do yourself or a professional, you'll be happy having a new top. I waist a bit of time and probably $30-$100 trying to patch up the rips on an 15 year old top.
