NEW PRODUCT: Neuspeed X-brace
Here is what I know- direct from Neuspeed:
"Our X-Brace is available and does not make oil changes a mess! It's part number is 45.20.67 and it retails for $199.95."
There web site:
http://www.neuspeed.com/default.html
They can send you a PDF of the instructions that show the piece.
The Spoon X-brace has the extra flat plates that weld into the center on the left and the right side of the brace. The Neuspeed also has extra flat plates welded into the center but they are in the front and the back of the brace. Therefore oil changes are no longer so messy! From an engineering point of view I can't imagine there is much of a difference is structural rigidity between the two.
Chances are real good; somebody this winter can have my Spoon X-brace for 1/2 of the original retail price. I have the Neuspeed shock Tower Brace on my car and I think it is the best design and I have a truckload of Neuspeed stuff on My CRX-Si. Good products.

That sucks - I wanted to get the Spoon x-brace, but I don't want the oil changes to be messy. Maybe I'll go for this Neuspeed or the DiGrappa. Thanks for the info.

I just saw the new design Muz is selling yesterday. The thing I wonder about with that design it seems the large brace that runs from the passenger side back to the front crossbar goes right under the opening where you reach up from below to get the oil filter off. It is hard to see in the pictures but that was my concern as soon as I saw it.
