tct
i just installed mine the moment i got back from a underway, annnnnnnd the rattle is still there. sometimes it would go away when i’m at idle but most of the time the rattle is there. what do i do ? i followed the steps carefully all but one, i don’t have a tool that can measure pounds. is that the case on why it’s rattling still or do i need a readjustment on my chain itself

2006 and later engines commonly have tight valve clearances -- which are quieter than loose clearances that clatter -- so my guess at this distance is it ain't the valves unless they're hypertight. The data when you measure the clearances will be valuable.

Bolt torque has nothing to do with your noise.
Post a sound clip of the noise. 4 feet away from the front of the car, hood closed. Let’s see if it’s chain noise, or something else.
