According to Majestic Honda The rear pad set is the same (they have the same part number) from '01 to '05. It looks like the front pad set was changed from '03 to '04/'05, so the newer cars have different pads in the front. Here is a link to Majestic Honda that has an online parts catalog: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

I can't tell from the catalog if the older pads will fit the '04/'05's.

04-05 OEM pads will always generate a ton of dust... I feel you on this one.

Switch to 03 pads... it is drop in and they don't dust (maybe a little if you mash on them... but still 100 times better than 04+). S2ki marketplace has them for sale for ~$40 or something
Well I just finished..... pad swap... really easy 12mm socket and 19mm wrench

I installed the 03 pads..... and yes they are the same O.D.
different compounds
03 you can see more metal in them
04-05 they have less metal and a darker compound... i even put them is the shop sink with HOT water just to wash them clean and see if the dust was just making them look diff

now if my wheels were back from the chroming... I'd be able to drive around and finish this task

So if you hate the Dusty 04-05 Wheels... go set some stock 03 pads $55 from dealer

from what i understand 04-up brake pads are a different compound than the 00-03 brake pads and thus provides better braking and is one of the reasons that the S2000 is now in A-stock in auto-x (previously was B-stock).

Better braking is achieved thorugh the use of larger rubber, and that's one reason the cars are in A-Stock. The pad compound had nothing to do with it; I doubt the SEB even has a clue nor cares about pad compounds since it's a free upgrade in stock class anyway.

Anyway,

Yes, the front pad compound has changed from 00-03 and 04+. Yes, the new compound is more aggressive. Yes it throws more dust. Yes, the pad size/shape/thickness is the same so the pads are interchangeable from earlier years.

Yes, we sell the 00-03 pad here: http://www.gofastlab.com/marketplace/home.php?cat=20
