New MY05 break pads have to much dust
Well I have only 300 miles on it and the pad have to much dust.
Wheels are out getting chromed and the car is on blocks now . I need to change pads out
in the next 5 Days.
I'm not going to the track, Just a little spirited street driving, and the Cobalts are more than what I need
What is above stock and little to no dust?
I dont care for EBC Green.... just not my color
Hawk has some Street pads any good?
One local shop said PosiQuiet or Sumitomo?
HELP ASAP, I have to have it done Thursday
and who has G2 caliper paint now or is there a better paint?
Thanks

Most of the performance pads are going to generate more dust than stock man.
Ebc pads, even though they advertise low dust... generates a ton.
Hawk are greak pads, but your still going to generate alot of dust.
The other two I've never used or seen.
Your best bet is stock pads. If your not tracking the car stock pads are fine. Actually the stock pads are pretty damn good.

Beats me man, but I'm tempted to say no.
I'd just call up Jim over at Tire Rack and see if he has anything that will generate low dust. If he says EBC greenstuff then forget it. Those generate a hell of alot of dust.

The OEM pads are extremely low dust. YOu are probably just noting the break in dust while the pads gets seated. I note you have an '05. After a few thousand miles the brakes will be tight and generate little to no dust.

Supposedly, the ceramic pads generate less dust. I have no first hand knowledge of their characteristics, but Jim at the Tire Rack may be able to answer your questions.
I have found that the key to keeping my wheels clean is a good layer of synthetic polish with a layer of carnauba wax on top of that. Treat your wheels finish as if it were the hood or a fender, since they are all finished with clearcoat on top of the color coat and the brake dust will just wash right off, no problem.

04-05 OEM pads will always generate a ton of dust... I feel you on this one.
Switch to 03 pads... it is drop in and they don't dust (maybe a little if you mash on them... but still 100 times better than 04+). S2ki marketplace has them for sale for ~$40 or something
