Also Valves don't bend from low oil. False information.
I would think if the oil level is low enough to starve the top end of oil flow the valves might stick or get sluggish enough to get whacked by a high rpm piston. There's not much clearance between the pistons and valves at TDC.

There is NO WAY low oil will bend valves!

If you run the engine without oil, the valves could likely go a few MILES down the road before they would stick.

That doesnt matter, because the engine would lock up in the first 10 feet.

I'll try to help out the OP here. See if these links work:

Video #1

Video #2

The second video makes me think it may be the timing chain tensioner going bad, but I'm no expert. I'm sure someone here can help you out.

Definitely not TCT. Sounds like a lower end knock.

Compression test in c1 was 185 c2 was 181 c3 was 176 c4 was 158 does that sound bad ??? Don't know what to look for in this motor.....I was thinking 150 to 180 might be good ? Or not so good ... Cutting the oil filter tonight hopefully.

Thanks for all the good tips hope it is not a rod! Or it looks like I am going to be rebuilding a motor!

158 is terrible.

I would hope for at least for 180 on a warm engine, all spark plugs out, injectors unplugged, throttle wide open.
