New Member With Problems Gearshift/Clutch Pedal Rattle
#11
I took a video of it and it actually seems to me that it’s the motor, I revved it before putting it in gear and can hear the noise that I’m talking about, when I put it in gear I can actually feel the “knock” in the clutch pedal and the gear shift
the Shelby I had dropped a valve once and I had to have the motor replaced, when that happened I remember feeling the motor shake a lot because it was misfiring but this doesn’t feel like that did and it doesn’t seem like it’s down on power or anything

I couldn’t upload this straight from my phone maybe that’s not allowed or something but I just uploaded it to my YouTube, at 6 seconds you can hear what I’m talking about and when I have if in gear as I’m letting the clutch pedal out I can feel it in the clutch and as I’m driving I can feel it in the gear shifter

I mean...it sounds like it could be some sort of bottom end knock.
Is your oil full of metal flakes?
any oiling issues?

I had the oil changed the day after it started (didn’t have to drive it far just a few blocks) and they said they didn’t notice anything and once they were done they handed it off to the guys at a mechanic shop next door, nothing could be done about it there that’s when I got on this forum for advice
And I finally found a mechanic today from a performance shop and he told me he’s almost 100% it spun a bearing and that’s rod knock
So I’m looking for a motor currently

You can check your oil's current condition...
