Any suggestions?
just drain it out, and save it if you want. and buy a case of any good 10w-30 dino oil. and change it at 3-4k until you get to 10k. and then use your favorite synoil. and enjoy!

I'm surprised they used the more expensive Syntec instead of the cheaper Honda branded dino 10w30.

I'd drain and refill with dino 10w30 and run the Mr Moly, As you've got to break in the new shortblock again.

Valvoline MaxLife 10W-30 is also a good break-in oil straight from the bottle since it has a higher than normal amount of moly.

Wouldn't Castrol GTX 10W30 dino oil be a good break in oil ? I used it back when I had a built B series engine. I heard basically to break in the engine you want to use regular 10w30 until 1000 miles then switch it out with synthetic oil. I would drain the oil with the synthetic blend before driving it and ask them to put regular 10w30 oil in it.

No offense to anyone, but I think all of you take this "break-in oil" stuff way too far. Your engine will be just fine using a regular 10W-30.....trust me, it won't blow up!
