New Dyno #s, not much room for a tune
Took the car to the dyno today for some new #s and to get my VAFC tuned. What I learned is I will not be tuning this car with a VAFC, as there really isn't any room for it, check out my A/F ratio using the AP1 ecu.
Sure there's room for just a little tuning after about 7800, but thats my buffer zone used for running the 2.2 out to ~8500rpm. Besides, any tuning there will be scary, since right at peak power I'm pretty much at the optimum A/F ratio.
Also what I learned on the street, and we noted on the dyno, we were only able to drop the VTEC engagement from 6000rpm to 5900, anything else and the power dropped off BAD. The problem is, while VTEC will engage at 5900 most of the time, sometimes it won't kick on until like 7000rpm, so we just put the VTEC back to normal ECU control.
I think the VAFC is coming off this car. Might be better suited for an AP1 who is definitely rich, but not me.....

because the uncorrected ones are nicer SAE are 213.8 hp and 151.6tq
oh we even tried adding some fuel to my car, and it killed the numbers. Maybe my VAFC or the boomslang harness is jacked? Or the VAFC is set up wrong? Doubt it tho.

Interesting to see how other AP2's do . . . I had my car dyno'ed today and you seemed to make power longer than I did . . .I seem to drop off around 7800. Maybe because of your AP1 ECU? Think I have any room for tuning?

Maybe the AF is suppose to be around 13 if you are NA, but the boosted guys are suppose to be around 12 at VTEC. Is the AF that different for NA vs. boost?

I seem to recall 14 and change for a stock motor, maybe 14.7:1.
