Default New clutch issues and I'm stumped

So I finally had to replace the clutch after about 5 years. Got the car back, and the clutch engagement point is about an inch from the "fully released" pedal position. Not having issues getting into gear or anything. I've tried adjusting the CMC rod, that didn't do anything to aid in the engagement point. Bled the clutch fluid a good 10-12 times. Also, all the clutch components & flywheel are brand spanking new.

Unsure as to where to go from here. Any help or things to check would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!

What type of flywheel? PP? disc?

Air in the system will cause a low grabbing pedal so thats not it.

Fidanza 9lb flywheel, Spec stg 1 PP and disc.

I've been told that the release fork (?not sure if that is the part name but its what the slave cylinder piston presses on) is known at times to have shown wear and will cause a high engagement point. Not sure of how to test this but I don't believe that was replaced with the new clutch.

Typically when clutch forks and pivot points wear down it causes the engagment point to get lower, not higher.

I've had a new clutch years ago, and the one I have now (60k), and they both have that play in it...
