Default New to AP2 seems like revs are hanging...

I do't remember the 2001 model I had a couple of years ago doing this but with the 04 I just bought the revs are hanging when shifting, did my 01 do it and I just don't remember or is this a characteristic of the AP2?
Will getting an ECU flash or upgrade from Hondata take care of it?

It can either be the CDV or the heavy flywheel on ap2's. Prone to not grabbing.

Sounds like the CDV.

But if I remove the cdv its only a short matter of time before the clutch pressure plate needs to be replaced from what I've been reading, I'm not interested in doing that so I guess I'll get used to the revs hanging a split second when I hit the clutch.

Nah...I don't think it is all that hard on the clutch pressure plate. I know a ton of guys running without the CDV...one is approaching 100k miles on his ap2 and autoxes the crap out of his car.

CDV belongs in the trash can.

CDV = clutch delay valve

the revs hanging are due to heavy flywheel... revs slipping is CDV or bad clutch lol

And if you pull the CDV you should not be in AS.
