I just had a new clutch installed including an ACT pp and ACT street disc, I also installed a new oem release barring and pilot baring. and now 0-100% of the engagement takes place in the last inch. AAMCO claims they bled the lines and didn't know of any other adjustments. This cant be right so i would like to know if anyone knows of an adjustment that will stretch the engagement across more of the peddle. I adjested the piston behind the peddle but all that did was take out some of the play.

do mean it engages later or earlier than what you had before? I just did a similar install myself - but with OEM disk + comptech flywheel and ACT PP. It is a lot more positive and goes to full engagement within bottom 20% (?) of clutch throw - pretty much as I expected and similar to what I had before. Just better . Break-in shouldn't change the engagement point too much and reality is that as the disk break's in and deposits material on the flywheel it will become "stickier" and less prone to slip...so not sure how break-in relates to the question?

I think thats pretty much normal. I replaced mine with the Exedy hyper single set up and my pedal is the same way and have not had any problems so far.

Do you mean at the bottom or the top of the clutch travel? If it's at the bottom, then clutch isn't fully disengaging. The pedal rod need to be extended.
If it's at the top, then the clutch is not fully engaging in the desired place. The pedal rod needs to be retracted. The bottom 1" or so and the top 1" or so should be free play.
HOWEVER, DO NOT mess with the rod adjustment UNLESS you are positive that all other aspects of the clutch system is in perfect order. Begin by suspecting the fluid bleed. Re-do it to be sure that it's done properly.

I did find that the pedal needed to be adjusted on my car after a clutch install. The engagement point was simply in the wrong part of the stroke until I made the adjustment.

its all at the top. i took the play out of the pedal but just by twisting it with my fingers but i didnt change the range of engagement any. Im taking it back to AAMCO today but he claim there is no way to adjust it, but he will take if for a spin? I don

i just got back from AAMCO and he told me the only thing i can do short of replacing the fly wheel, is install an extended slave cylinder rod... where can i buy that from
