Default Need some clever ideas

So i have the ings rear bumper, and i also just received my GTM fold down tow hook, question is how can i measure where to drill on the bumper? Since the oem bumper all you had to do was drill the tow hook CAP, that was simple. Im trying to gather ideas to decide the best way without making a mistake. So far i've thought of sticking somethign in the tow hook hole like a marker of some sort then put the bumper back on and slide the maker out to mark the bumper.... but i dont even know if theres clearance behind my bumper to stick my hand up there... Any suggestions?

Tape a piece of string with a weight on it to the car. Mark on string where the hole is. Put bumper back on. Cut whole where mark lies on bumper.
