Thumbs down Need some advice on bleeding brakes!

Hey guys I need some help ASAP!

I was doing my brakes today and decided to bleed them as well.

I was doing it with 2 people, one to pump the brake and one to open the bleed line. All was going well until I let the master cylinder run dry. I ran whole another bottle of Dot 3 through and little air bubbles are still coming out.

How do I purge the rest of the bubbles I sucked into the line???

Thanks!!

Keep bleeding it.. It's going to take even longer since you let air get in at the master cylinder. Continuing to pump the brake pedal made all the big air bubbles tiny, and even more difficult to remove.

So I should just buy a few more bottles of Brake fluid, and bleed until the tiny air bubbles are pushed out?

- I was doing a little research and I read somewhere that I needed to get the car out and activate the ABS, I'm just a little weary of doing this because the brake light is on in my car and I wouldn't want to drive around with half powered brakes

Keep manually bleeding it. Since you let the reservoir run dry it will take some time to get the air out. Slowly pump the brake pedal, you don't want to make the big air bubbles smaller.

You can let the car sit for a few hours and the tiny air bubbles will go back to larger ones that are easier to remove.

Oh yeah, don't let the reservoir run dry again.

Thanks for the help Slows2k

I'll leave it in the garage tonight since the honda stealership is closed for the day. I'll resume in the morning!

I will also keep an eye on that reservoir

it would also be easier if you had a vacuum bleeder or power bleeder.

Or even $5 speed bleeders (one-way valve).

For what it is worth Honda says to start with the Left front and work clockwise around the car. I always started with the brake furthest from the reservoir and worked to the closest

Buy more fluid and start over, this time pay more attention to the fluid level.

I did it today with some Prestone brand dot 3 fluid from Autozone (Dealership ran out of dot 3)

The brake feels "ok"

When I do hard braking and floor the pedal, the car kind of chatters, and I feel a weird looseness in the petal. Is that just normal ABS? The light doesn't come on when I do that either
