Default Need a new battery. What is everyone running?

Battery is dead and I need a new one. I don't really want to go OEM and I also don't just want to go to the local parts store and get a replacement there.

I hear mixed reviews about the Optima brand, and I also hear that the lightweight small race batteries aren't the best route either.

Thoughts or opinions? What do most s2000 owners run. My car is really just a weekend warrior. No heavy electronics, no need for more juice. I just need something that will hold a charge and allow the car to start when I feel like driving it.

they are all the same. . .there are like 2 OEM companies in the US that make all the batteries and then they just get sold under different brand names.

Pep Boys had a sale on Bosh battery's a few weeks ago..Interstate batteries are also good.

Dry cells like Exide are lighter and have better warranty..

I got another Honda battery. I shopped around (calling stores, pep boys, etc) and the Honda had the longest warrenty for the price. My old one lasted for 7 years. I called all the Honda dealerships and found the one that offered it the cheapest, then called the one closest to me and they gave me a counter offer to beat their competition. ( I just dont like the cheap off brand ones) paid $83
