need info ap2 05 motor paired with 03 ap1 tranny
im sure this has been covered tons of times, and i did read something about a month ago but i cant find the write up. im gonna keep this simple
2005 f22 engine long block
2003 f20 tranny
what is needed to mate the tranny to the f22. from what i researched,
the tranny shaft needs to be ap2?
ap2 tranny bolts are the ones to be used (6 8mm bolts)?
something about a flange?
i dont quite remember
there was 2 ways i read, but i cant seem to find the page. also please do not ask me why im not using the ap2 tranny with the f22, to answer that real simple because from what imma use the car for its simply better, and also i found tons of proof of f22 with ap1 tranny being better then a f22 with a f22 tranny, so please keep it to my question, what is needed to use a ap1 tranny in a 2003 s2000 with a 2005 f22 motor. thanks in advance.

Nothing is needed if the ap1 trans is going in a ap1 car. The ap2 motor bolts right up to the ap1 trans.
Just fyi, If you were bolting a ap1 trans to a ap2 then you would have to swap over the tranny flange that mates to the driveline. The rear end and trans and driveline all have a larger diameter bolt pattern then the ap1 stuff.

S2k junky- yea the car is a 2003 s2k and everything is ap1 so sounds as simple as a swap, just take the f20 out and install the f22, cool. Thank you,
Billman- I have a 05 f22 ecu and I also have a 03 and 00 f20c ecu, both would work, and im not worried about red line, if imma want to take it there im better off using the 00 ecu cause its richer, but im going with the f22 ecu just so it can be in exact spec, when I boost it ofcourse aem ftw. Ok cool imma get started on the project tomorrow. If I run into any problems ill post back up. Thanks
