Need help with a weird problem.
Ok, when I rev my 2003 out the oil and battery light come on near redline. Kinda dim and flickers a bit. Oil is good and battery is 3 months old. I also put a alternator on with the battery. Also replaced serpentine belt too.
My only guess is a bad alternator on a bad ground?
Any suggestion or advice? I'm hoping someone has had this issue. I haven't checked it with a volt meter yet but it seems fine. Starts up good and all that.

Id take the alternator back and try another one but of a different brand unless you went OEM, then get another OEM..

If you are revving your motor while in neutral with no load on the car, please stop doing this as its very bad to let a motor spin like that with load on it.
If the oil light is coming on that means there is an oil pressure issue. Usually the light does not come on untill the engine is extremely low and damage has been done. So your oil pump may be on its way out and cannot supply the high flow of oil required for 9k rpms.
As far as the battery light do the above stated and have the alternator tested. Beyond that im at a loss.
Best of luck.

No I'm not revving it in neutral. It's mainly when I have fun in second gear. The lights don't seem to really be on as they aren't completely lit, it's more of a dim light coming from them. Idk ill try alternator, I can't see it being my oil pump at 84k on a 1 owner clean car. Anything is possible though, right?

Link doesnt work. But after thinking about it, sounds like maybe a loose/bad ground causing voltage issues under high load/vibration. Recheck all the ground locations on the engine. Report back.

Can you see the grounds from under the hood? I wont get a chance till Sunday to mess with it...I recently had a clutch installed 1,000 miles ago, but i didnt notice it until around 100 miles ago..

Yes the grounds are easy to find. One is on the back of the motor near the fire wall and attaches near/on the head. The other one in on the drivers side and attaches to the block.
