Need Help! Vtec not hitting

Default Need Help! Vtec not hitting

I installed the ecg o2 simulator and now when i hit vtec it dosent go nowhere. It just sounds like the car is reving or driving normal without vtec. If anyone can help me please post it.

My only thought is that your mod caused the problem. To find out for sure, uninstall it. You may have cut or spliced into the wrong wiring. When in doubt, always trace your steps backwards.

Can anybody tell me were the ecu back up fuse is at. it drives fine but it just donse t hit vtec for some reason.

Do you know where the fuse box is? It's by your left knee when you're driving. There is a diagram of the fuse layout down there somewhere (on the kick panel, IIRC).
I don't expect that resetting the ECU will fix your problem, though.

Well i was reading the fourm on o2 sims, and they said to check the connections which i just did and they seem fine to me and to pull out the ecu back up fuse for 3 mintues. I dunno if another thing is i just installed a vafc2 but it's not tuned yet and it was running fine with it yesterday but i dunno what could be wrong.

You didn't unplug the VTEC solenoid for any reason did you?

The backup fuse is located in the engine compartment passenger side (USDM). More than likely you do not have the VFAC2 setup correctly. First I would check to see what the VTEC engagement point is set to on your VFAC. If it is not around 6K move it there and see what happens. VTEC works off of oil pressure so you can also check your oil level if you have changed it recently or feel it may be low. Good luck.

Well i dont know what it was but i changed some fuses and pulled some out for a little and now it works. Thanks to all you guys that helped out
