i only bought teins because for the most part they are a respected company and i expected a quality product from them despite the low price for the springs.
From MY understanding, and Im sure this is going to open up a whole new can of worms, but it seems Tein is considered on the lower end of Japanese tuning companies. I don't think its APC bad, but I don't believe they're held in high regards in the land of the rising sun so it just goes to show good marketing (giving free shit to select drifters, track warriors, etc, along with plush Tein dolls and featuring some nicely modded cars) can go a long way.

I don't care personally - it bothered me a little, but only I can tell, the car looks good and rides nicely, and its way more pratical than coilovers (which need rebuilds at 25-30K miles) for a daily driver that doesn't see track.

I think the S-Techs are a good spring regardless, as far as ride, look and height - they aren't outrageous low like the Skunk2s, but then again they retain the handling capabilities and seem like a good choice for a basic lowering job at a good price.

my car isn't that low....its sexy low with great handling and a relativly good ride. i perfer them more then the teins for sure.

I do agree with you on tein sorta becoming the low end of the tuner world though

well, admittedly they were the cheapest lowering springs i could find. i ALMOST picked up a set of the tanabe gf210's. i got the teins because from my research they were slightly stiffer...the prices were about the same.

question though: why make the passenger side stiffer? wouldn't it make more sense to make the drivers side stiffer?

no idea, i only know of teins being like that. I'm not saying they're stiffer or anything, but they just don't settle as well. once again, thats y i went back to skunk2

i just hate the idea of having spent $176 and the drop is uneven. its just annoying i suppose if it never setttles evenly i'll just live w/ it until the shocks wear out and get a whole new spring/shock combo.

I have a set of Tein S-Tech springs. i installed them about four weeks ago and the ride height is still uneven. I checked on them yesterday all four springs are seated in just fine so I don't know what it is that makes the driver's side sit about 1/4 ince lower on both front & rear. is this normal??? do i need more time for them to settle in???
Damn this is pretty wild. I did a search for "uneven ride height" after noticing that my passenget side is higher than the drivers side. I come up on your post and then checked out your sig.............I know that car.........it is in my garage. I thought it was something I did, I guess not. I guess Tein is not doing alot of QA on their stuff if they are selling shit that doesnt have the correct spring rate.

I emailed and PM you just to find out if you had any other issues with the car.
