Default Need help removing top frame!

Hey guys,

I'm swapping my 01 top/frame to an 02/top/frame and have run into a pickle of some sorts. I've been trying to use some of the instructions from the DIY, but haven't found anything for specifically removing the whole frame.

So here's where I'm at......the seats are out, center console is gone, the plastic trays are out where the top sits, the 3 frame pieces are out. I think that's pretty much where I'm at, I haven't removed the giant roll hoops (not sure for the correct term) or the plastic coverings.

I feel like I'm ready to pull the frame at this point so I undo 6 bolts on each side (yellow painted) that seem to hold the frame down. I pull....and nothing. I'm obviously missing something here. It doesn't even really want to budge. Maybe I'm missing some magical bolt somewhere, I don't know. I tried comparing my new frame with my old one and it looks like i got all the bolts.

One thing I thought of is there is this silver metal plate that's removable that's covering up the black plate which is part of the frame. I have all the bolts off of it except for one, which is under the giant plastic hoop. Maybe I need to remove this plate? I guess to get the hoops off I just need to undo the 8 bolts for the metal hoop and the whole assembly should just pop off?

I'm really in a pickle here guys, so any advice you have to offer I'm listening

You will need to remove the roll bars and seat belts. make sure all the panels are out as they are intertwined along the side and rear. There are two body colors brackets that also need removed and probably a few more things you are missing. It has been a few months since my last top replacement so a picture of your progress would help me help you. Good Luck

UPDATE:

Had a friend look at it with me (funny how that always helps). Got the frame/top out, just put the new one in. Now I'm trying to tuck the canvas part of the top in near the frame brackets. After that it should be pretty smooth sailing.

Thanks for all the help!
