if there is enough sticking out, you might try the saw and screw method. A cutting wheel on a dremel usually works well for me. Also spray some 3 in 1 oil on the area before you try to unscrew it, leaving it to soak in for about 10 miutes or so.

I don't think the jb weld trick is gonna work in that situation. There is not much of a nub there and you're likely to get epoxy all over the manifold.
Also...I think brutal is a good word. You must have brutally kept tightening that bolt for it to shear like that. Just because you can bench 300lb doesn't mean you should apply every ounce of muscle into a bolt or nut.
With as much torque as you put on that thing, I'm not sure you'll have much luck with anything other than heat or drill. You may need to get someone more experienced to help with both of those.

ok phewf...dad had a welder friend, was able to weld another bolt onto the thread sticking out and was able to twist it out pretty easily. crisis averted, i can breathe again.
