need help with my clutch asap
hi, i own a s2k 04 berlina blk bought it brand new i do drive it hard and around this past september, the clutch started acting wierd. pressure started to build up . what i mean is when i try to shift and hit the clutch it would get stuck and then it would go down .. so i was told to replace the clutch . i went ahead and bought an excedy stage one clutch kit.. now the same problem came back with this heavy duty clutch after only 5 months.. i dont know any good mechanics here and the dealer is trying to have me come out of pocket about 4 thousand dollars to replace everything.. please someone lead me in the proper direction what do i do.. i took it to the dealer and had them change the master cylinder but the pressure is still there .. and on high revs i feel it slipping.. please does anyone know anywhere i can take the car to really see whats going on.. that new excedy clutch cost me 2k and i need to know what the problem is before i pay for another.. anyone know any s2000 mechanincs here in the southbay area.. or can tell me what to do.. thanks

My understanding is that the clutch pedal is connected to the master cylinder. The master cylinder then sends hydraulic fluid down the line to the slave cylinder, where it forces out a piston that does the actual clutch disengagement part.
That slave cylinder, starting in MY04 models, has a one-way valve that slows down the engagement of the clutch. It's possible I guess, although I've never heard of it before, that something about the delay valve is messed up and is keeping the clutch from DISengaging properly.
