Need help installing stock suspension
can someone tell me or show me pics of how to install the dust cover, bump stop, and the washers on the stock shock. every time i put the shock and springs back on the car and i lower it the top of the strut comes out of the top and hits the hood. what am i doing wrong?

Okay: IIRC
The Shock MUST have the metal ring/disk on the shaft (about half way up)... It can only go down the shaft so far because the shaft's diameter gets wider about half way down. (Below that is the bumpstop...)
The dust cover sits on top of that disk...
There is a black disk (basically a washer, about 2 inches in diameter) that slides on next....
Then of course the spring gets put over these things...
Next comes the top hat, which should have the rubber bushings with a metal cylinder about an inch high (through the hole in the bushing)...
Then the top nut goes on using a 14mm box wrench and a allen key...

You may have done what I did, and forgot one of the disks...
I forgot to put 'em back on after trimming my bumpstops on my civic....
