Thumbs down Need help ! Got a Cell after K&N CAI on 06

I just finished installed my K&N Air Charger for MY 06. The 06 have a air temperature sensor on the intake elbow which I had to drill a hole in the K&N elbow to install the OEM sensor.
Took the car out for spin everything seem fine. Took the car out the second times the check engine light come on.
When to Autozone pull a code of PO 113 - IAT sensor(intake air sensor). They can't erased it. What can I do to fix this ? Thanks. for any help.

Put the stock air intake back on? That's the easiest solution.

Did you unplug the IAT with the key on? Chances are that's the source of the DTC. Clear in by removing the back-up fuse if Autozone can't get the job done.

K&N include a rubber grommet that fit in that hole tightly. Then you put the sensor into the hole in the middle of the grommet.

No I didn't. The car was off when I do the install and only turn it on when everything was done.

check your IAT wiring. the factory wires seem short even for the factory bung. maybe you pulled a wire loose or stretched one too far.
