Default Need help with finding something

Need help finding the voltage output for the TPS(one of 3 wires), I hope. can't figure it out. The reason is im hooking up a zex nitrous system and all i need is to find that damn wire so that when im WOT it shoots. Any help would be great.

The last one I checked was at 4.5V at WOT on the Red/black wire.
.25v at closed throttle.

Yel/blu is 5V reference
Grn/yel is sensor ground

thanks, cuase i tried testing it out with a test light and the yellow and blue wire all i got was a dim light at wot, the red and black wire i got nothing either time, and the other wire it only lit up on good ground, didn't try a multimeter though, i should have it would have given me a better reading. Are you sure, that i should tap into the red and black wire for what im looking for.

Dude, you MUST put down the test light when probing around circuits like this. The bulb of a test light can easily draw more current than the circuit is rated for. If you manage to get the wrong wire attached to some expensive piece of electronics, (with no fuse) you will fry something.

A meter is your friend, cheap ones can be just as effective as a 400$ Fluke 88.

True your right, thats why i stoped, i wasn't getting anywhere, so that why i came here and asked for some help. Always a good place to ask for some help. so are you sure tht i should tap into the red/black wire, for voltage output from the tps. i really don't want to fry anything or just tap into the wrong thing completly.

red/black is sensor input to the PCM. I can't answer what the ZEX kit requires as an input to operate the N2o and Fuel soleniods.

they ask for the voltage output wire of the tps at wot, if that helps any at all.

It doesn't use a seperate wire for output at WOT. Just has the 1 input wire to the PCM. TPS sensors on most all cars operate the same way. Check with ZEX to verify that this wire will supply the signal they require. Chances are it will.

i suspect it will, unless theres another wire at the ecu tht they want me to tap into, but if voltage changes at that wire from .25v to 4.25v at wot then chances are that its the only one i can tap into, well technically i could tap into whatever wire i want to, lol.
