Default Need Help! Eps Light On [no Pwr Steering!]

Hi guys maybe you can help me with my little or big problem. My dad changed the engine oil today and coolant today. I turn the car on and this EPS light is on my dash and i've got no power steering.

What could have possibly gone wrong? I cant find the power steering reservoir like a normal car and the belts seem to be tight.

Thanks

in the manual there is instructions on how to reset the EPS.. i believe you shut the car off for like 10 seconds and restart it.. i would say that if the problem persists take it to your trusted dealer.

ok this is straight out of the Quick Start Guide

Electric power steering (EPS) indicator: If the indicator comes on and stays on, there is a problem in the EPS system. The vehicle may be harder to steer. Stop the vehicle in a safe place, and turn off the engine. Reset the system by restarting the engine. If the indicator does not go off or comes on again, have a dealer inspect the vehicle.

my friend actually had this problem before, every third time he would drive it the EPS would come on. the car was one day old (LOL).. so he took it back to the dealer and it was the EPS module and for his EP Civic (02 Si) the module was $300 retail i believe, his was warrantied.

That's because EPS stands for "Electric Power Steering". It is not driven by a hydraulic pump or by a belt. There is no fluid.
