I saw a leak after I got the new gears in... they look ok.. I had to remove the differential again, I looked at them and like I said they seem to be fine...but I don't really know about rubber seals...so I was wondering if there was a way of telling, like cracks or something....or If I'm supposed to do something when installing the inner axles into the diff.... Thanks a lot..

yeah, i understand and it's not a bad thing to be paranoid when it comes to a car stuff, but just not too paranoid, though. 
well, just be careful not to damage the seal when taking it out.
And for additional information, sometimes the fluid leaks out of the seal if the vent hole on the case is plugged by dirt or some sort.
I don't know if that's the case this time, but it wouldn't hurt it to check it, I would say.

most often, when you remove the seal, it should be replaced.
and you don't need to take the seal out to see if it's bad. if it's leaking diff fluid, then replace it. if not, then don't. it's that simple. me and xviper have conveyed this to you, however, is there some confusion as you don't seem to have responded to our posts.

Those seals needed to be treated very carefully when doing the gears. The slightest nick and they will leak or if dirt got onto them. When doing gears, you need to protect them with heavy grease while you are working on the gears. If you take them out, you merely replace them. You can't really "inspect" seals. Just change them.
