Do a search...I, as well as many others, have posted details on how to do it.

It's actually very easy, if thats any help.

I'll give you a basic run down since I just went through this and the Helm manual does it the hard way.

1. Place car on jack stands
2. Remove wheels
3. Unbolt upper control arm from car
4. Unbolt shock from lower control arm
5. Unbolt 3 tophat bolts (the LR has the most limited access)
6. Pry the shock out (takes some creative manuvering)
7. Use a spring compressor to compress the spring.
8. Unbolt tophat and swap springs.
9. Now do it in reverse.

10. Don't forget to get your alignment done ASAP.

The helms manual will help if you can get ahold one one. Do the rears first it's a lot easier.

The driver's side rear will be most difficult. You'll be working in tight spaces with the fuel line on top. If you have a magnetic pick-up tool, it'll benefit if you drop the nuts in the cavity . Good luck and hope everything turns out good. Also make sure you install the springs right (fronts, rears) and mark where your stud bolt alignment is, it'll make putting the shocks back much easier, unless you have adjustable springs where you can spin the shock around.

The rear is by far the hardest....not much space, and its easy as hell to lose the bolts in the metal overlaps...

Also, don't use a spring compressor. Use your hex wrench and the open faced wrench to loosen the top bolt. Then take out the hex wrench and put the top of the spring/strut whatever it is on our car and put it against a curb or the side of the house (or something hard and immoveable). Put your foot on the other side to keep it from shooting the other direction when you loosen the bolt all the way.

A spring compressor is not necessary, but a good practice, so no one gets hurt. It's your discretion. Also, you can rent it free at AutoZone, just put the "deposit" down and you get it back when you return it. If all the part numbers are the same, it should be OEM 27036 strut spring compressor. HTH.

Don't forget to preload the suspension before tightening all the bolts up. Use a jack placed under the control arm (I put it under the ball joint w/ a towel) and lift the suspension up until the car comes off the jack stand. Then torque everything down to spec.
