Default Need to buy transmission syncros

I have my transmission out to replace the clutch right now and am wanting to replace the syncros at the same time. My syncros aren't bad but I have 75K miles, it is a wear part and shows it on the the leading edge slightly. Problem is I can't find anyone that will sell me the syncros without the all the other parts around it. I've seen lots of pictures and read many stories of messed up syncros here. What did people do? Did they replace everything, or did they find a dealer that would sell them the syncros alone?

explain what you mean when you say, "it is a wear part and shows it on the the leading edge slightly"

you already have the trans opened up and are looking at the synchros, or are you confusing this part with something else? these are on the shafts inside the trans. if your trans is notchy, then yeah, disassemble and replace the synchros, but be prepared for a puzzle. if your talking about another part, let me know. either way i will help.

The transmission occasionally had a rough 1-2 shift as long as I owned it and would sometimes have trouble on the 5-6 shift as well. The syrcros while not mushroomed, show some roughness on the edge of the that first contacts. Sycros take the brunt of the shift and wear long before the other parts in the transmission.
I've built many trannies including not only cars, but tractors, and heavy machinery. My only issue is finding the parts. They are brass in this transmission.

FYI

You have to buy the gear set (1-2, 3-4, 5-6). Each set comes with them as part of the set.

Honda also upgraded the Sycros in the replacement parts to be the same as the 04 for the 00-01 transmissions.

You have to get the gear set with the synchro ring. Honda does not sell the synchro ring only.

I found a guy at a local Honda dealer that went the extra mile trying to get the syncros only from Honda. Sadly, I can't as most said.

I saw the TSB that the new syncros are carbon coated.

I'll try the local shops, but our car is rare enough I doubt anyone is making a repacement part.

Thanks all.
