Default Need advise from experience

I am looking to solve the whole "clutch slips between speed shifting due to CDV"

I plan on getting a lightweight flywheel (torn between an AP1 and the CT Engineering) and a stronger clutch that can handle around 350whp (suggestions on which one?).

My question is, will the flywheel and clutch be enough to make my "delay" and "slippage" go away or will i need to remove the CDV also? I would like to avoid removing the CDV if possible, but if it is really worth removing even with a flywheel and clutch then i will.

It won't be enough. If you want to get rid of the slip then you would either have to do the CDV mod, or just swap the whole unit to an ap1 unit.

I would just swap it as it's only $50 from hardtopguy, which is where I got mine from.

Any clutch system from act, exedy, competition, clutch masters, etc would be capible of handling the power you mentioned. Just depends on what you want to go with. I had the ACT and have no complaints.

i don't know much about transmissions, so how much do you think a shop would charge to do the swap?

or is it something that even someone with simple mechanical experience can do?

It is actually very simple. It's on bolt. Pop it off, swap, align the holes and bolt it back in.

I wouldn't take something like that to a shop because they are going to charge to much for something so little. The fact they have to lift the car will already make it costly.
