Need advice on gluing back roll hoop plastic

I have had success in putting mine back together. I pulled the metal wire out to give it space to adhere, then used loctite plastic bonding system on the seam. The stuff literally started smoking, so I'm sure it is some sort of chemical reaction that helps it bond. Then I smeared epoxy as far up on the inside seams as I could. Two years and holding strong so far! Basically, agreed on the two part!

Edit: I did scuff up any bonding surfaces with 36 grit sandpaper for some texture.
