Didn't read all the previous post, but I have had an O2 sensor emulator on my car for about 2 month and 500 miles without the check engine light coming on.
I bought it from Diablo Motorsports. By the way what is the MIL?

Rieger - Malfunction Indicator Light....same as CEL.

So you have the one from Diablo and no CEL has come on? This is in an S2K right?

cbender: who are these caspers people? can you give me a contact method to them? email? website? also, i'm still not sure i'm fully understanding this problem we all seem to have with our idle at times. can anyone email me with some more info? has anyone talked to a certified honda tech about the situation? what's their statement on the problem. i'm assuming you all experienced the problem even before doing any mods, correct? because my s2k has done it from the beginning. thanks.

For those of you joining this thread a bit later than others, remember that I'm running a turbo with a 3" pipe. Thus, the exhaust parameters of my car are already different.

I triggered a MIL back when I had a high-flow cat installed (which has since been swapped with a straight piipe). That's how this whole things got started, as I've had a MIL from turbo day 1.

Senator:

Caspers' URL is: http://casperselectronics.com/cgi-local/st...product=IMPORTS.

As for the "idle" problem, I really don't have a clue what you're referring to. You might want to post a thread of your own to solicit some ideas and a broader audience. There aren't that many people following this particular thread. In any case, good luck.

But those of us that are... want to know what's up with Casper's. You're about to make me break down and try the O2 rewire/resistor trick on my car!!!

Okay, okay, Mister Resistor, I called Caspers again today. :-)

Here's the update.... on an RSX, after a LOT of data logging, they've got the simulator to work for some 200+ miles before tripping a MIL.

The odd thing is that the ECU has "locked them out" and they can't read the code with their reader. So, they're going to take the car to the dealer to see what's what.

Try the 02 resistor approach. If it works, you'll be a hero, and I'll offer to dog sit your avatar...

Rieger328Ci:

Have you taken your car to the track with the simulator yet? How about very hard driving in V-TEC?

Does the sensor run a wire to the front 02 sensor or does it operate solely on the basis of the data it's reading from the rear sensor?

You're the first person with a turbo/3" exhaust who's had any luck with any of the simulators.

Pls. keep us posted!
