Default Nearly 45k miles on my '02 and I want the best for the fluid changes; Advice please.

I plan on having my S2000 serviced at 45k miles and realized that there are several synthetics and "preferred" lubricants/fluids for the S2000.

I've been using Mobil1 since the 10k mile mark, so I'm fine with using that oil for my changes (every 4k miles).

How about brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, rear differential fluid and so on.

Any advice that can be shared will be greatly appreciated.

honda MTF is fine, but definately don't use the honda differential fluid. it is not designed for the s2k, its good for crv's...etc. anyways, for the diff. use mobil 1 75w90...you'll only need one bottle i think. whatever diff. fluid you use, make sure its a GL5 or GL6.

Airgate,

I'm coming up on 15k and plan to change out the fluids at that time. I figure I will change these out yearly/ every 15k - except for the oil of course. Anyway here is what I will use.

Oil: Mobil 1
Tranny: Honda MTF (at least until the warranty is up)
Diff: Mobil 1 75w90
Brakes: ATE Superblue

Some other possibilities that I considered were

Oil: Redline, Motul
Tranny: GM Syncromesh, Redline MTL, Motul Gear or Gear 300
Diff: Redline 75w90 , Motul 90PA
Brakes: Motul 600 or 5.1 , Valvoline Synpower

In the end I went with my choices not necessarily because they are better, but because of local availability (except for the ATE) and the costs involved. If I was able to get Redline or Motul locally I might have ended up with some of their products. Who knows I may try them out next time around.

Oops, forgot to offer some suggestions. I use Motul for brakes and Redline for tranny and diff.

No, I was'nt. And now I'm thinking that I goofed. Is someone about to "teach" me that the S2000 does not have power steering fluid?

Thanks for the suggestions cbj!
