NA hp Question
What sort of collective gain can be expected with the following mods:
Apex VAFC controller
Mugen Header & exhaust
The Mugen header/exhaust combo added power (although, I think the dyno chart at King Motorsport is based on crank hp). Thanks for any info.

These are the two main horsepower mods that I've been wanting.
Hard to say precisely what gain to expect, but 20 hp (peak) is probably the upper limit. Board members have reported 10-12hp with the VAFC (after dyno tuning), and if you believe Mugen's claims then that's another 6 or 7. The good thing about these two mods in particular is that by all accounts they produce gains throughout the rev range; so, acceleration and drivability should improve a bit more than one might expect from a "measly 20 hp." Plus, the Mugen pieces will save about 25 lbs of weight, which is also worth something throughout the rev range.
Cheers,
John

Speaking of which.. haha.
I am selling.. well the mugen exhaust, and header that is. Oh and the king motorsports dyno is Wheel hp.
But that dyno does not consist of fuel tuning if I am not mistaken.

Well, well, well....
It seems as if someone is thinking the same thing that I was... as you can see from my signature I have the Mugen Exhaust / Header and am currently working on the V-AFC. I had my car dyno'd (no baseline unfortunately... I know I know I am kicking myself) with all mods except the V-AFC and I had 207Hp at the wheels. If you want to hold out for a week or so until brandonb gets his V-AFC harness made, I will get it dyno'd again and will follow up. My personal goal is 220Hp... it is a nice round number...
