by the way how do you know honda didn't increase the volumetric efficiency? have you seen this information somewhere? i only ask because the F22 doesn't seem to be restricted when it comes to breathability any more so than the F20.

1/4 are sometimes a toss up to.. best to just look @ the trap speeds sometime, IMO.

anyways great thread, keep the awesome info coming!

uhm, have you looked at the parts, and part #s lately. they are all the same. for intake manifold, exh manifold etc. throttle body is the same, so they didnt increase VE at all. same flow in and out, yet larger engine, and larger cams.
and as for the dynos, read my post several times if need, what i say is spot on, on this hand, is the guy who ran his stock ap1 with 18s, and he goes, oh man, i only dynoed 189 rwhp,on this hand he yanks the 18s off, and tosses it on a dynapack, and dynos 203 rwhp, and he has this huge smile now. he is able to see what his car is doing minus the factor of his huge wheels, this will make him think twice about that particular wheel. this smashes the whining about drivetrain loss. assuming all same fluids in 10 different s2000s, they all have the same drivetrain loss. within .01%. they are all the same car! lol.
dynapack was created for this reason, and also the numerous times cars have jumped off of dynos (AWD cars) and cost shop owners more money than you want to hear about.
anyways. have a good weekend, bewbies rule!

the ap2 suffers a bit more loss than the ap1 due to the heavier wheels.

i'll simply reiterate, that the dynos have not shown the ap2 responding better. and on a dynojet dyno, the numbers are always withing about 5-10hp of each other, with the ap2 generally making the extra 5-10hp.

ok well as for the dynos i agree with wisconsin on this one mainly BC like he said you drive your car with the wheels on, also the dynapack always puts out exagerated numbers and are rarely consistent. As for vegas's point about the guy with 18in. wheels losing power that is a point for dynojets being better then dynapacks bc like you siad he loses HP bc he wanted to look cool so now he goes slower, which comes back to the point of you dont race your car with the wheels off so if you decide to put some big A$$ wheels on then your going to lose power period. About the ap2 and ap1 dynoing better then the other i dont know to much specifics about what one mod will do to one against the other, but i can say the AP2 should dyno better as its transmision is vastly improved on over the AP1. The biggest thing is the gear ratios followed by the new synchros, the ratios for 1-4 are 4% lower adn 5th gear is 1% lower and 6th is 2% higher which better matches the new 2.2l motors out put. The above reasons about the transmision is why i want one quite badly, nad also why they dyno a little better. Also about the dynojets being dangerous to use i just want to point out the only danger in them are the people using them, the shop i do my dyno runs at dyno 760whp drag integras and mutiple hundreds of hp civics all day every day and have never once had a problem, food for thought.

ps about my rods im using something better then carillo IMO, also the cmas and manifolds are coming its a long (expensive) process, but currently when you do the math it is already making 300hp @ the flywheel. as for the speed i ran a 12.9 W/240whp

anyone that post SHOULD also post the baseline stock numbers, there are to many variables and differences in output on each dyno.. this way it gives a slightly better idea of power to compare.

for example 220 on one could be 240/50 on another..

a different or better transmission really won't make a car dyno higher unless it somehow reduces drive train loss.
