I removed my Comptech SC today and one of the brackets attaches between the head and the VTEC solenoid. It is held there by 3 6mm bolts (longer versions of the ones that hold the VTEC solenoid) and a 10 x 45mm bolt just behind the VTEC solenoid and in front of the header.

Whereas I had no trouble locating the 3 standard VTEC solenoid bolts I couldn't find a shorter 10mm bolt. I also can't fathom what it is there for.

Is there a bolt at this point and does anyone know it's specs and what it does? I can't find it in the ESM either. Maybe it's is a just a lifting point.

It's to bolt a hook to when removing the engine.

A J's racing engin damper also uses it to mount the bracket.

If you could actually see the back left of the engine, you would find another hole. They're empty till you bolt on engine lift rings.
