MY06 Valve cover won't come off.

i stood on the beam in the engine bay and managed to pry it off with more leverage

a lower scale torque wrench would be a great idea to have, I'd suggest 8.7 ft lbs of torque but you won't know what that feels like. They might need more tightening but I'd hate for you to break another bolt. If you didn't dry off the washers when you reinstalled them there can be a bit of oil on them that can seep out when you squeeze them down.

I forgot to mention that these are brand new gaskets/washers.

if you use a small 1/4 inch drive ratchet and 10mm socket just make sure they are hand-tight and snug, you shouldn't over-torque them with a small sized ratchet, and you shouldn't see any oil seeping out of new gaskets.
