the first time I pulled mine off after buying the car it was crazy hard to remove, I couldn't believe it. I removed dozens of Honda valvecover but this one was crazy. I had to hit it with a rubber hammer quite a few times, once it started rocking I just kept rocking until it came loose. I still can't believe it was that tight and I don't know what could hold it that tight unless it fuses itself to the top of the head as the rubber compresses.

Correct. I didn't need to remove the spark plugs. I just meant to make sure that it's clear and you're not fighting a fastener.

I accidentally over tighten one of the valve cover bolt and the head snapped off, leaving the threaded part in. Is there a tool I can use to get it back out?

once the head comes off the bolt the body should spin out easily, if not you will have to use a bolt extractor kit. You should be able to spin it out with something sharp though, try that first.

this happened to me as well...felt like a complete tool. I got lucky and once the car was hot after a drive, with some oil the threaded piece basically came out by hand.

Those bolts break pretty easy. Ask me how I found a Torque spec error in a Helms manual. LOL

I got the snapped bolt to come out today and while checking the other valve cover gaskets/bolts, I noticed a small amount of oil perspiration around the 5 rubber valve cover gaskets. It looks like a small amount came out and stopped as the gaskets became more seated to the cover. Should I be worry and retighten the valve cover gasket/bolts?

I always take the car for a run and then snug them down again when its cooled off. I torque them to what I think by using my wratchet.
