my brother picked up that suggested napa hook kit and the clip finally came off! what are the torque specs on the hydraulic bolt (not the bleed valve)?

hmmm.....

Not sure on that one.

I wouldn't go over 35lbs though. Most of the torque specs for plugs and bolts are 33-35 lbs.

So are you STILL doing this mod? or are you enjoying your new car yet?

The banjo bolt that holds the clutch hose to the slave cylinder is 22 ft.lbs.

The 2 bolts that secure the slave cylinder are 16 ft.lbs.

just got back from my drive with my new car! thanks for all the help, fellow moders. the engagement is closer to the floor and the pedal feel is much more consistent. I ran it to redline a few times and it felt great.

i paid 67 bucks shipped 2nd day from hardtopguy. anyone want to buy a 03 slave cylinder?

Excellent write up

I replaced the cylinder with an 03 model in my last S, but decided to modify the existing cylinder in my 05. The snap ring is a pita, but it finally came out. I figure this way, if my dealer has to check underneath for a warranty issue, everything still appears to be stock.
