Default MY00 S2000 with 26k miles...

Hi all,

I purchased a MY00 about a year ago with 20k miles on it. Very little maintenance was done other than oil changes, and i'm curious to see your thoughts on what maintenance should or should have been done.

So far the transmission shifts smoothly and everything. Think it's essential to replace the MTF and/or diff fluid?

do all the fluids if you can.

diff fluid, trans fluid, engine oil, clutch fluid (check) brake fluid, (check). also chek your radiator fluid to see if its not all rusty - it might take a few days for it to cycle through and pick up rust.

I changed the MTF and diff oil on my car at about 20,000 miles (three years old), and the difference in shifting smoothness was immediately noticeable, and the diff oil was in definite need of changing!

Do it! It's also really easy to do yourself if you have access to a decent floor jack and four jack stands. There are do-it-yourself instruction in this forum with pictures and tool lists.
