i started getting this sound just a few days ago. the motor revs and pulls hard but im getting this sound. i here it more when im driving in the street next to parked cars. kinda does sound like the card in a bike wheel. but not sure the injectors also make a tapping sound. i even went on and readjusted my valves to the crower specs since i have crower stage 2 cams .008ex and .006in. can this be a craked valve spring or anything like that or is it the tct.? can it be a bent valve or cracked valve guide?

sounds like tct 99%. if you want to be extra sure go to your local auto parts store and pick up a mechanics stethoscope and put it against the tct

anyone else can confirm that its the tct so i can fix the problem. i just want to be 100% sure

Pretty certain its TCT as runs through the RPM as you apply gas.

TCT all the way! When I was out to buy my S2000 I heard a couple of them like that. I'm no expert but it appears to be quite common for these cars. What you can do is replace it or (I've heard some people saying) take it out and sand blast it.

i just put a brand new tct in from honda and it still makes the noise. what can it be

sounds like tct, buy billman's modified tct

Definitely contact Billman and tell him your issue. If I remember correctly, he has some even more modified TCTs for cars that have REALLY bad TCT noise.
