My s2k seems to be an anomaly
My completely OEM Honda Certified S2000 has roughly 20,500 mi on it. I love the car, but one drawback prevents me from completely enjoying it. Particularly during the 1-2 shift under WOT, the revs will float for 3-4 seconds after you disengage the clutch pedal until you lift the gas. After lifting the gas, the revs drop back down and the clutch will fully engage. Its very strange though because during the twisties with partial throttle the shifts are fine with the slight delay caused from the CDV. Thus, I know the CDV is there, so the absence of a CDV is not the problem. The clutch engages fine with no slippage in daily driving. Any ideas? I've tried the dealer, but they simply claim its normal. I've driven other s2ks with similar year models that do not have this problem. Thanks.
Cliff notes: Floating revs with hard 1-2 shift for 3-4 seconds. Car shifts fine under partial throttle with minor slippage from the CDV.

Sounds to me like you're overworking the clutch with a combination of the heavy flywheel, the CDV, and bad pedal timing

no i drove his car. during hard shifts of 1-2:
1. (in first gear) heavy foot on gas, WOT
2. release foot on gas
3. engage clutch pedal
4. shift to 2nd gear
5. disengage clutch pedal
6. heavy foot on gas, WOT
7. hanging revs
8. release gas
9. clutch fully engages and rev drops.
that is the steps i did when i drove his car and the hanging revs would come.

I've driven several other s2ks the same way and the floating revs are no where close to 3-4 seconds. I guess I'll have to put up with the annoyance until the clutch gives out.
