Dude I'm 90% sure that you're clutch is slipping but like somebody else said take it to a mechanic.

the OP said "slow in the rpms" which wouldn't indicate a clutch problem. If it were a bad clutch, he would be seeing "high rpms" and "slow MPH".

Once again, diagnosis without complete information is really difficult - mostly guessing.

Is there something special about a Berk HFC that makes them impossible to break apart? Carbon fiber?

yea im 90% percent sure it is also . thats my next step new clutch n flywheel . n i wont take my car to a machanic if they paid me to take it to a mechanic . i rather buy every part new that i think is causing the problem then taking it to a mechanic . especially the ones in my area . mechanics are a rip off and always do a half done job . well atleast in my area .

If you arent 100% sure your clutch is slipping then you have no business trying to replace one.

I agree with Gidgy, a clutch slipping is not a difficult problem to diagnose, if you are having problems diagnosing it then I wouldn't think you have enough experience to change it. This whole thread really boggles my mind, no real problem has been presented other than "car feels slow" so every single post is a blind guess at what could make a car slow. I agree with the dyno idea myself, my bet is you are simply expecting the car to be faster than it is and the summer heat isn't helping either, the car is probably perfectly fine.

RPMs climbing slowly is not a slipping clutch, a slipping clutch would mean RPMs climb quickly, as if the car was in neutral especially high in the power band. Now if the clutch is slipping on shifts and hanging at 7 then maybe your clutch is begining to die but either way slow RPM rise means your clutch is not causing your car to lose acceleration.

Well ive had an ap1 before this one n it out performed this ap2 . Night n day difference. My ap1 had re adjusted valves , new timing chain , new timing chain guides n tensioner also new oil pump chain tensioner. New exedy clutch with f1 lightweight flywheel . N it ran like a champ very fast n responsive . I want my ap2 to feel the same or better. N im pretty sure its the clutch going bad plus the heavy flywheel thats making it feel sluggish .
