Nice blog. Regarding your CV joints, the fix is to swap them with each other (put the right on the left and vice versa). In doing so they will have all new contact points (they are pitted now, hence the vibration you have) so it's pretty much like brand new. Repack it with the Redline CV-2 grease as well, this will prevent it from pitting again unlike the OEM grease. There's a ton of posts discussing this solution instead of buying new joints or rigging it up as you did. I did this to mine 10 years ago and still solid.
