tried the two test that xviper mentioned and doestn' seem like my car is having a clutch problem....maybe I just wasnt used to the low torque of the S2000 when I am starting on an incline? I mean I have driven standard for 10+ yrs....probably not becuz of the driver I would hope.....

Hill starting with this car requires you get into the rpm range that will provide sufficient torque to move 3000 lbs of car up an incline. To little and you bog and stall. Too much rpm and you burn up your clutch. Even at just the right rpm, you would normally be slipping the clutch much longer (time and distance) before getting under way.

ps. I'm glad I could save you a thousand bucks for now.

Ordered my spoon pressure plate from http://opakracing.com/ (official us importer for spoon) and the clutch disc/throwout bearing from the Go Fast Lab on this site (194.35 shipped)
