VTEC motors are hit-or-miss with the oil consumption issue. There are guys with B18C1/5 motors in their Integras that never burned any oil, some who burned maybe a half-quart in between changes, and others who burned more than a quart...all from well-maintained motors.
The key is to just keep an eye on the oil level, and do periodic compression/leakdown tests.
