13.2:1 is about as lean as I would go on a NA car.

I would go around 12:1 on a FI car.

Your shit is about to blow up if you dont get it fixed.

That shit is scary dude.. get the map back to stock or retuned ASAP.. It is a ticking timebomb.. you are heading for some serious bottom end work if you don't get this sorted out soon!

I learnt this the hard way.. Twice!

You are def waaaay too lean. Did you add any mods since UL tuned your car? Regardless, I would stay out of boost until you can get re-tuned at @ 12:1.

platinum tip plugs "glow" very easily. So it doesn't take a spark to actually ignite the gas. The heat retained by the tip is enough to ignite it anyways which would give misfires and detonation. Which is why platinum is never used for any sort of F/I application. The temperatures in the combustion chambers are too hot for the plugs. Copper or Iridium is your best bet for S/C, turbo, nitrous, N/A in severely hot weather with low humidity.

I'd talk to UL first, since he is a highly respectable tuner...

Yup. Trying to get it touch with him. I can't imagine him letting me drive off with a ticking bomb.

Older threads that he has posted suggest that 13 - mid-13s is the target range; for instance, the Mugen ECU runs at these levels. Nevertheless, I'm still running high and I appreciate everyone's feedback

You can't get any richer than that with a VAFC. In fact, if you add fuel with a VAFC, you freak out the ECU and go into limp mode.

The above chart is richer than any stock Comptech SC that has come into my shop, but you can't do much more than that. That's why the existing SC kits like Comptech and Vortech are problematic. They simply run too lean for long term safety.

Ideally, on my A/F gauge when measuring from the tailpipe, you want the car to be up at about 13.7 at low rpm where boost is minimal and then transition down into the 12's as boost comes up. EMS or Emanage if you want to get richer.

It's best to measure A/F before the cat, there are several $300 or so wideband solutions on the market, you should think about getting one of those... PLX devices's Wideband will replace the stock 02 sensor and send a narrowband like signal to the ECU to keep it happy, but will give you a full wideband output.
