Default My engine is having alot problems.

Hey guys. i made a topic a month ago i guess about my engine eaating alot of oil. well it is and there is black smoke coming out of my exaughst and there is this weird noise coming from the engine when the RPM goes over 1000 alot of people told me its from inside the engine and some told me a pulley. and i still dont know what it is and what to do. and my differential is abit noisy, when i go right or left it makes a weird moaning sound . and there is a buzz on my clutch some told me its normal and some told me its ok. so guys here are a couple of my problems and i really need help. i really dont want to change my engine because i dont have the cash. the noise coming from the engine is like driving me crazy. im really worried and i dont know if the car is just eating alot of oil or fuel some told me its oil and some told me its fuel.

for the oil problem i'd start to monitor the oil level very closely since you say its coming from the exhaust. perform a compression and leakdown test to see what kind of shape your engine is in, how many miles does it have? what kind of noisy is coming from the engine?

Id recommend taking ur S2K to a shop so they can diagnose the problem. They just dont go away over time and this last month you have been driving it might not be helping the problem.

Clutch chatter is common on aftermarket clutches, if u have one on.

Black smoke can be anywhere from a bad spark plug to a leaking seal.

I understand you dont have much cash, many of us r in the same boat, but dont cheap out on a repair.

Get it checked out. Good luck.

Weird noise from engine, very fast oil comsumption and black residuces from your exhaust?
Most like it's something from inside your engine. Recommend getting it to a good engine shop ASAP.
I had a similar problem with my old engine and it was one of the piston that wasn't doing its job correctly. Very costly. Good luck.

i did a compression test its 170 - 170 - 175 - 175 and the percentage of my engine was 78%. the honda company told me to change the engine . they told me 1600kd that like 5 thousand dollars.. if not more. when i speed smoke also comes out from the exaughst. some told me its rich. i just put a fuel regulator and i duno how much psi should i put it on.. can you guys tell me? please guys if you can help me with some more details and why is my deferensial is kinda noisy? the noise in the engine i was talking about was when the oil goes very low this noise starts to get louder. yesterday a friend told me may its your retainers because he said they are kinda loud.. and the sound coming from the engine is like a krrrkrr something like that.. im really confused ...

Noise is going to get louder when the oil gets low because you are going to hear a lot more "valve tapping" and other "non-lubricated" noises. In regards to the engine, that sucks if you need a new one. I would take it to another shop to get a second opinion. 100,000 miles is a lot of miles if the car wasn't takne care of mechanically. GL though.

There have been some engines for sale recently pretty cheap. With compression #'s that low, your going to need a new one.

Have YOU had the car all 99k miles? For the diff noises I would start by changing the fluid if you havn't already and checking for chunks/shavings in the old oil.

sorry to hear about your car though, get it to a shop ASAP and make sure there is oil in it, some stuff might be salvagable

you have problems. what it is doesn't really matter, sounds like you need to get it repaired either way.

a leakdown will help you pinpoint why you have low compression.

your rear end noise could be diff or cv joints...
