Default my custom DIY exhaust

since after market exhaust doesn't offer that much hp gain, mainly just for look and sound and some weight reduction. so i figure i make my own to get the look and sound i want and reduce some weight at the same time.

the whole thing cost me $110 and half a day's work, that's if you have all the tools and do it yourself.
$50 for the aSpec 2.5" stainless oval muffler from ebay.
$60 for the 2.5" stainless U-bend.

the whole thing weigh 21.8 lbs. not sure how much the stock weigh but this exhaust considerably lighter. the sound is pretty good also, not as loud as i thought it would be. just a nice deep tone. i wanted to reduce the bends in the pipes but didn't want to much angle on the muffler, i just like a little angle. the tip is larger than what i like but i don't think it looks too bad.

here are some pics and vid.

You should do some drive by videos and an exit vide so we can hear it in action - in and out of Vtec.

you should have put a flange on both he stock exhaust and the new one so if you ever need to take it back to stock for any reason you can just bolt the stock one back on! thats what i did

why pay for one when you are capable of doing it yourself.

why is the muffler moving around a lot? did you put the hanger in all the way or something?
